1. Trio were a new wave band formed in 1979 in the small town of Großenkneten, Germany and best known world wide for their 1982 hit single "Da Da Da I Don't Love You You Don't Love Me Aha Aha Aha". The band consisted of Stephan Remmler (vocals), Gert Krawinkel (guitar) and Peter Behrens (drums). The group split in 1985.

German band originally signed to Polygram in Europe & Mercury in the US, who played a minimalist style of rock, appropriating the casiotone keyboard. Their hit song "Da Da Da ich lieb dich nicht du liebst mich nicht aha aha aha" was a cross continental novelty chart topper. Their spartan instrumentation created a unique sound that stood out amidst a sea of overproduced & sonically saturated records of the early 80's.
The members were:
* Stephan Remmler - vocals
* Gert Krawinkel - guitar
* Peter Behrens - drums

The band was produced by former Beatles associate Klaus Voormann, who also played bass on some songs. Although they had a very simple sound, they were a very high concept & artistically creative group fronted by the lanky & close cropped hair wearing Remmler. Considered part of the "Neue Deutsche Welle" (or NDW) movement the band reportedly preferred the name "Neue Deutsche Fröhlichkeit", which means "New German Cheerfulness", to describe their music. The band broke up by 1985.

The "Da Da Da" song has had a life of it's own, appearing in television advertising and reappearing in numerous compilations of 80's hits.

"Eins, zwei, drei, ihr seid das Trio!" - "Ja!" "Ja!" "Ja!"

2. A psychedelic prog group formed in Stockholm, Sweden September 2006 by the Swedish Drum legend Leif Fredriksson together with bass player Bjorn Egelius and Tobbe Johanson on guitar and vocals.
The result became TRIO which is an acronym for "The Rhythm Is Odd".
