Artist bio

Carl Stuart Hamblen was born in Texas in 1908, had long musical career with more than two hundred songs to his credit, passed away in California in 1989. He was a heavy drinker who quit and found religion after having the young Reverend Billy Graham on his radio show, going to the tent revival and afterwards going up to Graham's motel room to ask him to pray for him. He appeared in a few minor Hollywood western movies including one with John Wayne who gave him the idea for his song, "It Is No Secret".
