Pattinson said in an MTV interview that he aspires to be as versatile in his work as his favorite actor, Jack Nicholson. In 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire he portrayed beautiful but doomed Cedric Diggory but was later quoted saying he wished he could have played the role of Professor Snape.
Pattinson plays both piano and guitar, and was in a band called Bad Girls that played "rocky Led Zeppelin-type stuff." For his solo work, he performs under the name 'Bobby Dupea'. His next projects include the next film in the Twilight series, New Moon (late 2009), and Little Ashes (2009) as Salvador Dali. He recently pulled out of Parts Per Billion (2010) due to scheduling conflicts.
