El Coco, a barely veiled reference to Cocaine, was a disco vehicle for producers W. Michael Lewis and Laurin Rinder under the business auspices of their Rin-Lew Productions. The two studio musicians had been involved in the 60's & early 70's hard rock scene but determined that the extended format of disco would be a new lucrative market to enter. Other names they prolifically issued titles under included Saint Tropez, Tuxedo Junctionand Le Pamplemousse and even the soundtrack to the TV shows "That's Incredible" & "In Search Of..." .
