Boys Like Girls are a four-piece pop-punk band from Boston, Massachusetts. The group topped the Top Unsigned Artist chart on PureVolume within a few months from forming in late 2005. In August 2006, they released their Matt Squire-produced debut album
Boys Like Girls via Columbia Records/Red Ink. On March 17, 2007, it was announced that the band was voted 2006 Artist of the Year by the readers of Spin.

Hero/Heroine, was also re-released after the second single.
Hero/Heroine peaked at #43 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Their second single,
The Great Escape, was released May 22nd 2007 and peaked at #23 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also peaked at #36 in New Zealand, #57 in Canada and #72 in the UK. The third single from the album was named as
Thunder and was released on May 6th 2008. It peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at #76.
Heels Over Head was also released as a single towards the end of 2008. The album,
Boys Like Girls, reached #55 on the Billboard 200 and hit #1 on the US Heat chart. The album was certified Gold in the US.
The band's second studio album, titled
Love Drunk is to be released on September 8th. The first single from the album, also named
Love Drunk, was released on June 30th 2009. So far it has reached #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #59 in Canada. The second single was named as
She's Got A Boyfriend Now. It was released on August 11th 2009 via iTunes.
