Akanishi Jin 赤西仁, best known as Jin, is one of the members in the Johnny's Entertainment boy band, KAT-TUN. He represents the "A" in the band's name. His fans often consider him as the member with the best voice. He has displayed interest in starting a solo career out of KAT-TUN.
KAT-TUN released an album, "Best of KAT-TUN" and a single, "Real Face" on March 22nd, 2006.

Akanishi Jin was on hiatus, allegedly to enroll in language school in the US, from 12th of October, 2006 to 19th of April, 2007. He took up activities with the band again immediately after his return.
