Welcome to the new PianoFiles.com website
Dear member,
If you are reading this, you are about to test the new PianoFiles website. Start looking around, change your profile settings, upload an avatar, search and browse for sheet music, add new sheets to your collection, add another user to your friends list. Try as many things as possible and if you think you found a bug, please report it by leaving a message.
So what's new?
- search & browse: a whole new way of finding the sheet you are looking for
- submit a sheet: add a sheet in one click, by clicking the + sign next on an artist page (example)
- export your collection: export your sheet list to a pdf or csv file
- friends list: find and add users you like to trade with in a friends list and they will be highlighted in search results
- contact: you may now add instant messengers to your profile page
- new design: looks better?
What is on hold?
- Advanced filtering & search: Search for more fields and filter by your own sheet collection or by your buddies collection.
These features will be put in place again once all the problems below are solved and after the website has been stabilized.
Problems currently worked on
- New contact system: Since the 3rd of May, you can now send mail directly to members via their profile page.
However, there were some problems up until a couple of hours ago:
- On the 3rd and 4th of May, most of the emails sent from the pianofiles website did not arrive to the recipient email address.
- Up until the 6th of May, mails sent to Hotmail, MSN and Live addresses were blocked as well.
Everything should be going well now. If you do think there is still a problem, please leave a message.
- Export to pdf: Exporting large sheet collections to pdf doesn't work. The csv export does work so you can still print your collection.
- International characters: Special characters such as Chinese are being displayed wrong. This is being worked on.
